Using My Papers
DeepDyve My Papers is your personal repository of journal article PDFs which you can upload and store in your DeepDyve account . Unlike the Research Archive, which is a centralized, shared repository available for Enterprise customers only, My Papers is your collection of PDFs that can only be accessed by you. By uploading and storing your PDFs in My Papers, you can now organize and manage all your literature research in one place, from PDFs you previously acquired to all the new papers and e-books you read and save through your DeepDyve subscription.
What type of files can be added to My Papers?
- As with the Research Archive, My Papers accepts only individual PDFs or ZIP files containing PDFs. They can be articles as well as any other PDF content. If you try to import other types of files they will be ignored.
- When you upload a PDF, you do not need to rename. If it is a journal article, DeepDyve's technology will automatically extract the citation information from the paper, including the title, journal name, author(s), DOI and more, so you can more easily find it again in the future. If your PDF is not a journal article, we will make our best attempt. But rest assured, you can always edit and revise the citation information afterwards.
- If you are an Enterprise customer and you purchase a paper from a publisher with whom we don't have a relationship, we use a 3rd party document delivery service (CCC RightFind) to get the article for us. You will get an email from our partner with a link to download your document. You can then add this to the Research Archive or to My Papers. Or contact your Account Manager, and we can automate this process for you.
- If you acquire articles from other sources, follow the upload process below.
Who can add articles to the My Papers?
Any Individual subscriber can upload and add PDFs to My Papers. If you are an Enterprise user, by default you can upload to My Papers as well, unless your administrator has disabled this feature.
