Setting up two-factor authentication
DeepDyve individual accounts are now automatically set up with two-factor authentication (2FA) to keep them secure.
Setting up two-factor authentication (2FA)
When you are setting up your account (or logging into an existing account where it's not set up yet) , you'll be asked to enter either an SMS-compatible phone number or an email:
You'll get a confirmation at your selected method; make sure to look for it to ensure that you'll be able to log in smoothly.
Logging in with 2FA
When you log into DeepDyve after setting up 2FA, you'll receive a verification code via the contact method you set up. Enter this code and your log in will be complete.
What if you don't get the verification code?
If you do not receive your verification code, double check both SMS and email to make sure it was not delivered via the alternate method. Then clear your cache and try logging in again. If this still doesn't work, reach out to customer care.
2FA on enterprise accounts
Currently 2FA is optional on enterprise accounts. Your DeepDyve administrator can tell you if you should turn on this option.
